You already looked at your transferable skills. To find out what your skills are, do a skills assessment online and then write down these skills in Match these Skills to Occupations (pdf). You can complete a skills assessment on either New York CareerZone or JobZone. Follow these instructions (pdf).

You should know what work-related skills you have and how good you are at each. Find occupations that match the skills you want to use. Know what your skills are so that you can talk about them with co-workers and employers.
